"If you care about the environment, it's important to do things that will
preserve it. Carpooling, to cut down on pollution, is an important step.
Carpooling reduces the number of cars on the highways and freeways, which
cuts down on emissions that contribute to smog. Recycling is another way to
demonstrate your concern about environmental issues. Most cities in the
United States have programs for recycling aluminum and paper. You can visit
a web site for the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to find more ways
to save the environment. Go to www.epa.gov. The office for Region One is
located at One Congress Street, Suite 1100 in Boston, Massachusetts
02114-2023. Their phone number is (617) 918-1111. Their fax number is (617)
565-3660. You can leave messages for individuals through the EPA People
Locator online at their web site.
